2.0          Preparations for the Opening

2.1          Some students have been diligent in helping out with the exhibits for the exhibition during the Opening Ceremony. Bravo to them!

2.2          In order for us to set up the exhibits, we will take 22 August 2013 (Thursday) off. All students, with the exception of the secondary school students required by the teachers to help out with the exhibition, do not need to come to school on that day. All primary school students are not involved in the exhibition. Therefore, the primary school will have their day off on 22 August.

2.3          Secondary school students who are involved in the exhibition will be notified by the teachers beforehand. On 22 August, they are to be dropped off at the school at Jalan Taman Budaya at 7.30 a.m. Students are to wear their PJ outfit. These students can be picked up at the new building either at 12.30 p.m. or 3.50 p.m. depending on the need of the exhibition preparation.

2.4          School will be normal on 23 August 2013 (Friday). However, we will have a full dress rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony at 9.00 a.m. at the new building at Jalan Nagor for all students. We will take a walk to the new building from our school at Jalan Taman Budaya and return in the same manner. Parents are to drop off and pick up their child at the usual times at our school at Jalan Taman Budaya on 23 August.

3.0          The SEED 13 for Form One and Form Two Students

3.1          To be held from 7 September, 8.00 a.m. (Sat) until 8 September, 4.30 p.m. (Sun) at Tan Sri William Tan Auditorium, SMK St Joseph. It is organized by the Sarawak Catholic Teachers Guild and facilitated by the Empowered Ministry and friends.

3.2          The core message of this programme is to introduce JESUS into the lives of the young people. When good SEED is planted, with the adequate nourishments and essentials to grow, it will naturally bear fruit. At this age of Form One and Two, many may not see the significance and importance of JESUS in their life but it is never too young to sow the SEED, the SEED that will last, the SEED that will bear much fruit in time to come.

In this programme, the young people will be given a chance to commit their lives to JESUS as their personal Saviour, Lord and Redeemer.

3.3          Registration fee (including 2 lunches, 3 teas, event kit) is RM30 per person.

3.4          It is compulsory for all Catholic students from Transition, Form One and Form Two to attend The SEED 13. Other students are also welcome to attend. Registration to be done through the class teachers.
