  1. OFFICE WORKING HOURS

2.1          The working hours for the staff in the office are as follows :

Monday to Friday            :               7.30 a.m. – 12.45 p.m.

2.00 p.m. – 4.45 p.m.

Lunch break                       :               12.45 p.m. – 2.00 p.m.

Saturday                              :               Day Off

2.2          Please note that the school office is not open on Saturdays and Sundays.

2.3          For any office matters, kindly contact the school only during normal office working hours.  The contact number is 082-414575.

 

  1. STUDENT ENROLMENT AND CURRICULUM

3.1          The enrolment of the various classes in St. Joseph’s Private School is as follows:

3.2          The curriculum in our primary school is KSSR (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah) because we are preparing our students to sit for the UPSR examination. However, for the subject English Language we will be following the Singapore syllabus. For subjects Science and Mathematics, we will be using both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

3.3          In the secondary school, we will follow the KBSM curriculum (Kurikulum Bersepadu Sekolah Menengah).  The subject English Language will follow the Singapore syllabus and Science and Mathematics will be in English.

 

  1. PARENTS VISITING THE CLASSES

4.1          Parents are kindly requested to first report to the office if they have any matter with the school.

4.2          They are not allowed to visit the classrooms, disturb the classes or see any student unless with the permission of the Headmaster.

4.3          Parents who have any complaint against any of our teachers are kindly requested to see the Headmaster or myself.

 

5.  PARKING

5.1      The car park in front of the school (Basketball Court) is reserved for the use of Physical Exercise classes and Extra-curricular activities.

5.2      Please do not park your vehicle in this area between 7.30 a.m. to 10.10 a.m. and from 4.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

5.3      Car park are available outside the school gate in front of the school and next to St. Jude Kindergarten, (entry from Jalan Tun Abang Hj Openg).

 

  1. SAFETY AND SECURITY AT OUR SCHOOL

6.1          St. Joseph’s Private School has a security fence around the school to provide greater safety and security for our students. The students are to remain within the school fence at all times unless accompanied by a teacher.

6.2          During the breaks and lunch time the students are allowed to go to the canteen area.  The jaga and the teachers on duty will keep an eye on them while they are having their breaks.

6.3          Parent especially those in the Primary School are kindly requested not to enter the classrooms. Please leave your children to the teachers.

6.4          These precautionary measures are taken to ensure the safety and security of your child.

 

  1. PERMISSION TO GO HOME

7.1          Parents are kindly reminded that if they wish to take their child out of school for any specific purpose (e.g. dental appointment, music examination etc) during normal school hours, the school office must be informed. Forms are available at the office.

7.2          Application forms for permission to go home in case of emergency (eg. sickness) are available from the school office and must be completed before the child is taken out of the school.

7.3          We request the co-operation of all parents to enable us to monitor the whereabout of your child and also to ensure that truancy is non-existent in St. Joseph’s Private school.

 

  1. HANDPHONES

8.1          Please note that students are not allowed to bring handphones to the school.

8.2          Student may make use of the public phone or the office phone for urgent calls.

8.3          Handphones which are confiscated will not be returned.

 

  1. USED ALUMINUM CANS AND OLD NEWSPAPERS

9.1          Once again we are organizing the collection of aluminum cans and old newspapers among the secondary students as part of their projects for the Pendidikan Moral and Geography lessons. This is to fulfill the requirements of the school based assessment.

9.2          Aluminum cans and/ or old newspaper may be brought to the school and left at the school canteen with the name and class of the student concerned on Thursday 21 February 2013.

9.3          All proceeds from the sale of the aluminum cans and old newspapers will be donated to charity.
